Vera Ellis Scholarship

Dear High School Senior:

 The CARE Foundation, is accepting applications for a $1,000 scholarship for a student from any  high school within Capistrano Unified  School District to continue his/her education at a 4-year accredited institution of higher learning or an advanced vocational training program  conducted by a State of California certified vocational training institution. The amount of the scholarship will be paid directly to the institution attended by the scholarship recipient for the recipient to use toward the recipient's tuition and educational fees.

Any High School student who plans to continue his/her education in the fields of horticulture, agriculture, Landscaping Architecture or forestry is eligible to apply for this scholarship. The scholarship criteria are as follows:

• Must attend any Capistrano Unified District High School
• Must plan to pursue higher education in the field of horticulture, agriculture, landscape Architecture or forestry
• Academic achievement
• Financial needs

Please fill out the attached application completely, including the essay portion. Also note the high school guidance technician must sign the GPA portion of the application. The deadline for submission for applications is Friday, May 21, 2010. There will be no exceptions to this deadline. Mail your application to:
