Welcome !!!

I am honored to have been elected President of the CARE Foundation.  I look forward to serving the Foundation and the community at large.  My  prep school motto was "Cui Servire Est Regnare", which means "To serve is to reign".   One of life's highest callings is to serve and give back and I am very excited about the opportunity to give back our educational community in the spirit of my old alma mater.

I want to take a moment to acknowledge and thank Victoria Jakovich for her selfless service as our past President.  I only hope that I can emulate her dedication and focus as she left some rather large shoes to fill.  The good news is the Foundation has been able to retained Victoria's services as the new Interim Executive Director.  Recent elections have also resulted in the following group of officers for the Foundation:  Andrea Ortega, Vice President, Barbara Culverhouse, Secretary, and Enzo Scognamiglio, Treasurer.

$10,000 Microsoft Software Grant 

Thank you for Voting! CARE Foundation will receive $10,000 worth of Micorosft Software as part of "Microsoft Store Month of Thanks". All the software will be donated to CUSD to be allocated to the schools where needed most.

The CARE Foundation is grateful to Microsoft Store for their support, helping us make a difference for every child we serve.

Taste For Education School Donations

CARE Foundation has distributed the $15 per ticket funds in the amounts requested by donors for each school and program. The total funds of $8,310, were distributed to 48 schools and multiple different programs at each school as per request by ticket purchasers. The programs include: music, fine arts, Technology, specific teacher classroom, PTA, Track Team, Girls Volleyball, Waterpolo, 5th grade science and more. Click to view the complete list of schools and programs.

  Spring Flyer Booklet

Advertisement Opportunity is Now Available in Foundation's Spring Flyer Booklet.The CARE Foundation is pleased to offer businesses and organizations that serve families in the Capistrano Unified School District an opportunity to reach out to our 26,000 elementary school children by advertising in our Fall Flyer Booklet. Advertising prices range from $150 for a quarter page ad to $1,000 for back cover. The Spring Flyer Booklet is distributed in April.

CARE Foundation Board Update

The CARE Foundation's is please to announce election of new executive board committee officers: Larney Fowler: President, Andrea Ortega: Vice President, Barbara Culverouse: Secretary and Enzo Scognamiglio: Treasurer.

Victoria Jakovich is serving as Interim Executive Director.

Other board members include: Feyzi Fatehi, Bao-Ngoc Liu, Marilyn Amato, Steph Ramsey and Carol McCormick.
