Our Alternative Energy Workshop drew over 100 community members, students and teachers for a day of exciting classes at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Facility. Southern California Edison has been a tremendous partner in this event and we feel privileged to have had the opportunity to host our Alternative Energy Workshop at SONGS.

This school year is almost over but we at the CARE Foundation are busy preparing for the 2011-2012 school year. We look forward to having more educational events like the Energy Summit as well as supporting education through fund raising and scholarship awards. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those companies and individuals who have supported the CARE Foundation via their generous sponsorships and contributions. We could not support our mission without you.

We will be having our big event, "Keys to the Future" in October and we will be posting fun facts regarding the up coming activities and the big car give away over the next several months, so be sure to check our website and Facebook all summer long.

Capistrano Unified School District Students Attend Alternative Energy Workshop
The CARE Foundation hosted its Spring 2011 Alternative Energy Workshop, presented by Southern California Edison at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS), on Saturday, May 14.

CARE Awards Over $10,000 in Grants to Help CUSD Teachers, Students
