Our children’s educational needs are always changing...but our mission isn’t. We’re here to make sure that our students get every opportunity available to have an enriched education…making a very good education, A+. With all budget cuts and uncertainty in Sacramento, the one thing you can rest comfortably with is that everything we do here at the foundation benefits the kids directly.

Getting a quality education for your children is YOUR biggest concern and it’s OUR’S too. In today’s world, an A+ education is the best tool that we can provide our children with as they continue learning and growing into productive members of a very competitive society. Since 1992 the CUSD Foundation has been dedicated to enriching the lives of “All the children in All the schools.” You can help today by becoming a CUSD Foundation member.
 
The CUSD Foundation is an independent 501(c)3 charitable organization that exists solely to coordinate the community’s resources in order to benefit the children in our CUSD schools.

As parents, we understand the need to bypass the politics and put our money in places it will make a difference. We concentrate on putting money DIRECTLY INTO THE SCHOOL in all kinds of areas. These include but are not limited to:

THE ARTS & MUSIC

  • Funded electronic equipment, computer hardware and composition software to benefit the choir drama and music programs at several schools
  • Sponsored a program where over 3,300 4th-graders attended a live symphony concert; and
  • Supported the Honors Concert Series for over 1,400 participating students district-wide;

SCIENCE

  • Provided the funds to establish a “CSI-type” forensic study unit at one high school so students can explore scientific mysteries using advanced equipment and techniques;
  • Purchased science equipment, software and supplies for several schools in order to give our children the chance to perform real-world science experiments and learn about the scientific method; and
  • Purchased various sets of supplemental science books for elementary and middle schools to be used to enrich the curriculum and students access to science resources.
