The CUSD Foundation is a non-profit fundraising entity, separate from the school district. The Foundation has raised over $2,000,000 for students, teachers and schools over the last decade, providing much needed resources to enrich student learning experiences that fall outside the District's budgetary reach.

The Capistrano Unified School District encompasses 57 schools with over 51,000 students. It covers over 154 square miles in seven cities. The needs of a district this size, combined with the current budget crisis, are enormous.

We here at the CUSD Foundation are committed to supporting the education of the students this district serves. Our goal is to support district-wide programs of enrichment including technology and music. The Foundation sponsors transportation for 4th graders from throughout the district to attend a symphony as well as professional conductors for the annual “Honors Concerts” in the spring. We have a Grant Incentives For Teachers (G.I.F.T.) program which provides much-needed grants to teachers. These grants have funded science equipment, upgraded computers, video equipment, reading material, computer software, and many more essentials for the classrooms. Your donations are vital to the support of these valuable programs.

This is your opportunity to show that you support the children in the district. You have the option of a one-time donation or a monthly donation, in the amount of your choice. You can be sure that your donation will go directly for the valuable programs we support. You have the option to donate online, or by fax or mail.

Donating Goods / Services
The Foundation hosts fundraising events such as the annual “Golf Event”. Auctions are a part of these events that everyone looks forward to. If you have goods or services that you would like to offer as part of an auction at our next event, please contact the Foundation.

You register any one or all of your existing grocery loyalty, debit and credit cards for use in the program. Participating merchants will make contributions to your chosen group, based on purchases made by you, just by using the cards you have registered.

"Cars 4 Causes" has partnered with CUSD Foundation. Cars 4 Causes specializes in vehicle and boat donations and your donation through Cars 4 Causes will help raise money for our schools through CUSD Foundation.

 

 

CUSD Foundation has joined forces with American Book Drive to help raise funds for the students of Capistrano Unified.
ABD has made it possible to turn your used Books, CDs and DVDs into funds, to strengthen education opportunities for children in our community.
